Sustainability

Sustainability starts simple and can naturally spread to other processes and procedures. We are dedicated to continually identifying and implementing ways to apply these eco-friendly systems within the services we provide.

At Gator Pest Control, we believe in protecting our employees, customers, kids, pets, and the environment. We have adopted a Sustainable Pest Management (SPM) philosophy and take a holistic approach to managing pests that considers the environment, human health, and social equity. It builds on the concept of integrated pest management (IPM), which focuses on long-term pest prevention. An IPM approach combines multiple strategies to manage pests, such as biological control, habitat manipulation, and chemical controls. IPM also emphasizes understanding the life cycle of pests and their interactions with the environment.

Here is our growing list of sustainability practices:

  • Go Paperless - Reduce or eliminate paper transactions (email invoices, text notifications, etc.)

  • Limit Treatments - Use treatment cycles that maximize the efficacy of the products and minimize the number of service calls

  • Less Fuel - Design efficient routing systems to reduce fuel

  • Alternative Energy - Convert to battery-powered tools that require less energy and streamline treatment processes

  • Effective Analysis - Inspect and monitor for pests both inside and outside the dwelling. Take pictures and videos of new or unknown pests to reduce trips

  • Inhibit Conducive Conditions - Seal entry points, remove food and water sources, and keep vegetation away from structures

  • Alternative Controls - Use traps, baits, or botanical insecticides to address specific pest problems

  • … and the list keeps growing!

We encourage all of our customers to join us in helping to create and sustain a pest-free and eco-friendly environment.

Thanks!
